We have recently launched a spin-off site from one of our data mining projects, SiteLoki.com. This site currently has data on about 3.5 million domains, including WHOIS, mailservers, nameservers, Alexa and Google rankings, Compete graphs, smart keyword extraction, and a good deal more. One issue that all beginning webmasters have to deal with is picking the right host and webserver. This choice can be rather confusing since there are literally hundreds of different hosting companies around. In the last years, we have tested quite a few different hosts, starting from big brand-name ones like Hostgator and Dreamhost, over to cloud ones like Rackspace.. until we found VolumeDrive.
